Postpartum was definitely on my mind a lot more with my third pregnancy! I guess I just felt this need to be extra prepared. I learned a lot about hormones after the birth of my second child so I’m really using what I’ve learned to help me this time. Grab my free Postpartum Health Guide. I’ve put together most of my “postpartum kit” and thought I’d share what I’m including.

Most postpartum blog posts I see just tell you to buy Depends and nipple cream but I think us moms deserve more than that.

Well, it feels weird to type this out on my blog but… we’re currently experiencing a global pandemic. Pretty surreal, isn’t it? One thing I’ve noticed is that it has people really paying attention to what they are buying at the grocery store, trying to make their food last longer and figuring out how to cook without things like dairy milk or eggs (which keep selling out some places).

So I decided to put together this post to hopefully help some of you out!

It’s safe to say that CBD products are a HUGE trend right now! You guys may remember this post I did on CBD for newbies. I wrote it because I had SO many questions about CBD and figured others did as well- turns out I was right because it’s by far my most popular blog post on Pinterest! Today I wanted to revisit that post by updating you on my own experiences with CBD so far!

Hot weather is here! Humidity has arrived! At least here in North Carolina it has.  So that means some of my favourite hot weather skin products are now on a steady rotation in my routine again.  From oils that smooth skin to a faux tan to smoother hair… I’ve got it covered.

Listen, your body is always Summer ready. You don’t NEED to change it.  I’m really not about the whole “get bikini ready”

I love a good non fiction book! I have a whole bookcase dedicated to them on topics ranging from vegan food to holistic health to skincare to parenting to mindset to essential oils!  I’ve always loved to read and it’s one of my favourite ways to gain new knowledge.

Here are five of my favourite books- ones that I find myself recommending to other moms all the time!

Listen up! I’m going to tell you exactly why you SHOULD give a sh*t about balancing hormones.  Your hormones control almost everything your body does. You can think of them as messengers that relay instructions between the organs. Hormones don’t carry out the jobs but they keep the rest of your body on task. So yeah, keeping those hormones happy and balanced is super important for overall well-being.

I’ll admit I’ve become one of those “essential oil people” who have them in every room and use them daily. ha! Although, I understand the limits and safety precautions of essential oils (which not everyone seems to, unfortunately!).  They’ve become a very regular part of my life and well as my children’s lives.  At home we diffuse oils pretty regularly (this is my favourite diffuser but this one looks really cool too) and my son asks for his sleepy oil every night.

Chances are you’ve heard of drinking celery juice by now; it’s the latest health trend that is all over social media! It was started by Medical Medium aka Anthony William! I bought his first book years ago and while I remain a little skeptical, I do think he has a lot of really great health advice (if you don’t know who he is, he says he has a spirit guide who guides him to heal/share health info which I KNOW sounds super out there hahah but check him out because he really has a lot of sound advice and new science is proving a lot of his theories correct!!).

Let/s talk about how to care for yourself as a mom. Being a mom means spending the majority of your time taking care of other people. It’s both fulfilling and exhausting.  We give a LOT of ourselves, every single day.  That’s why self care is so important.  That’s why we MUST do things for OURSELVES as well.  I’m not talking about a once a year massage or the odd pedicure either.  We have to do things for ourselves every day!
