Raise your hand if you’re SO excited that it’s Fall but not so excited that’s still 80+ degrees out?! Uh, yeah, ME! I love the start of a new season and always get so excited to change up what I wear… So today I thought I’d share some outfits that work for hot weather but still feel Fall appropriate!
I also want to add that these are all things I already had in my wardrobe from last year (or before that)! You don’t have to go out and buy all new clothes just because it’s a new season. Build up your core basics and then add in some fun items when it feels right.
This first look is great for hot weather since it shows plenty of skin but it feels very Fall appropriate because of the patterns, textures and colours. You’ll see me wear mules a few times here because they are a great transition shoe! I love these a-line mini skirts that are so trendy right now- this one is also cute with tights when it gets colder out.
Excuse my ghostly look haha I was using a new filter and it’s translating great here. This is a super simple look and leans a little more Summer than Fall but chambray is great for any season and the rust coloured stripes in this top make me think of Fall.
ps Finnley took this picture! See her with the remote? ha!

This is a great time to throw on a cardigan with shorts! I love this rust-coloured cardigan because it screams Fall but you could definitely go with something more lightweight too. Again, mules feel more Fall appropriate than sandals.

I knew when I bought these shorts that they’d be a fun one to wear going into Fall because of the colour. They pair great with a chunkier sweater! I did wear sandals to avoid overheating.

A short sleeved blouse is a great option for transitional weather! Plus chambray goes with everythinggg. Another way to make an outfit feel more Fall appropriate? Throw on a felt/wool hat! My loafers are a soft suede-type material which feels more Fall too.

I couldn’t not to an outfit without ankle boots! The fact that you can wear them with bare legs now is great. I wore this skirt a lot the past month but it’s really great for Fall too because of the darker colours yet it’s still lightweight. It’d be cute with black tights too!
Palazzo pants are a cool way to wear pants while it’s still hot out since they allow for more air flow. I pared mine with a cropped white top but a fitted tank top would work too! Again, sandals because it really is hot out here haha
