What is it?

Basically it’s a facial roller made using stones, usually jade although you can get other stones like rose quartz. Generally, jade rollers have two ends: one containing a larger sized stone (intended for the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck) and one containing a smaller stone (for the under eyes.). They are used to massage the skin and date back to 17th century China. They may be on trend right now but they aren’t a new invention!

I haven’t had turkey in 7 years but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying a lot of the cliche Thanksgiving dishes like stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, pumpkin pie etc  I even love making a vegan sandwich the next day with leftovers!

Today I’m sharing a recipe that I came up with after Thanksgiving this year… one where we actually didn’t have stuffing or cranberry sauce!  So really, you can make this ANY time since the ingredients are simple and there’s definitely no turkey required!

I think with wellness being almost “trendy” these days, there’s a lot of focus on things like superfoods and crystals and such to the point where for someone who is just trying to be a little healthier it can feel overwhelming.  With my clients, I like to meet them where they are and build up from there.  Start small because small is do-able, small isn’t overwhelming. If you keep trying to take gigantic leaps, you’re eventually going to wear yourself out!

Guys, I have a total weakness for baked goods. Mmm. It’s partially a “comfort” thing because I grew up baking with my mom and sisters. It makes me happy!  My 3 year old already bakes with me all the time. We try to balance making healthier dishes with treats like this though.  He’s not even a big cinnamon roll eater- he just wants the icing and sugar haha

I know I just posted a recipe here the other day but I had to get this recipe up in time for Mother’s Day because there is no treat I’d want more than this one!

I’ve been a mom of two for one month now!

I’ll admit I was nervous about going from one child to two. Everyone says it’s a tough transition! And, well, they’re right. Haha But I had thought it’d be the newborn that felt like more work but really, for us, it’s not! Finnley is a pretty chill baby. She sleeps well (as long as she’s with someone) and only cries or fusses to be held/fed/changed.

Somehow, I am already 32 weeks pregnant. Um, what?! Second trimester always seems to fly by! I think even more so this time because it was Summer so I was extra busy!

I’ve now reached that uncomfortable stage and it’s getting hard to sleep at night but still, overall, I think I have pretty great pregnancies and I’m very thankful for that!
