You can make them using just about any grain (or no grain at all), protein and veggies!  They’re also easy to customize for individual preferences, like if one kid hates avocado or one person wants chicken then you can do that because you’re making everything individually.  This combo I’m sharing with you is one of my favourites! I started choosing a word for the year instead of setting resolutions a few years ago. I love it! I love that it is more open ended and not so much about reaching a particular goal. There’s less pressure and more room to grow which is what you really want a new year to be about, right?

Last year my word was ‘daring’ and I’ll be honest, there were multiple times during the year where I felt like I was failing at that!

I turn 30 on July 11! The big 3-0!

Honestly, I’m excited about it.  For the most part I’m really happy with where I am in my life, at this age.  I feel comfortable going into my 30’s and that’s a good feeling.

I always make a wish list for my birthday. Not because I expect gifts but because I like lists. haha This year’s kinda made me chuckle because it’s so grown up.

I always say that wellness (and health) is a journey; it’s not about a destination.  So while I consider myself to be a healthy person, I am always looking to improve and grow!  For me healthy and wellness isn’t so much about what I weight or the exercise I do or even just the food I eat… it’s about how I feel overall! And that is something that is always going to take work.

I didn’t make any big drastic changes in 2016 but every small thing I did definitely added up!

I’m back with another baby eats post! I suppose once Beckett turns two I’ll change it to “toddler eats”.  😉

B is currently 1 1/2 years old.  He’s still plant based and generally eats a lot of the same things I eat. We still really limit his sugar intake (besides fruit) but a few bites of coconut ice cream here and there doesn’t bother me.  He recently had a bit of a cold (so did I) but otherwise has been the picture of health!
