What is it?

Basically it’s a facial roller made using stones, usually jade although you can get other stones like rose quartz. Generally, jade rollers have two ends: one containing a larger sized stone (intended for the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck) and one containing a smaller stone (for the under eyes.). They are used to massage the skin and date back to 17th century China. They may be on trend right now but they aren’t a new invention!

So… who has been shopping a little extra this week? hehe SO many good sales! But I really do try to shop mindfully so I’ve been sticking to things that were already on my wish list! I got Beckett my favourite karate jeans from Old Navy plus some socks for his stocking (and this denim jacket for Finnley because come on!), treated myself to a Fawn Design diaper bag, got a preschool curriculum for Beckett and some Christmas gifts!

  1. High Powered Blender – Personally I have a refurbished Vitamix and I LOVE it! I use it at least once a day. It doesn’t completely replace a food processor but for smoothies it can’t be beat.
  2. Essential Oils – I’ve linked to NYR Organic since I represent them but there are lots of great companies out there. No, there is not ONE company you must buy from or that has the “best essential oils”.

Why go natural & organic during your pregnancy? Here are just some of the benefits…

  • What you put on your body can affect you as well as your unborn baby.  It has been said that women use an average of 12 personal care products a day which means they could be exposed to over one hundred unique chemical ingredients some of which may not be good for their health!
  • Your hormones change when you’re pregnant which effects your skin greatly Switching your skincare to natural and organic products can be much gentler on your sensitive skin.

For Winter, I get ready by buying things like scarves and gloves but Summer? Summer means changing up my beauty routines!  Bring on the sunscreen, bronzer, foot scrubs etc!

Luckily for me, I’ve discovered a lot of wonderful products to help me feel more prepared for Summer!  These products are cruelty free and on the more “natural side” (low rating on ThinkDirty and EWG Skin Deep!)… because last thing I need to do is smear potentially dangerous chemicals all over myself!!
