Guys, I have a total weakness for baked goods. Mmm. It’s partially a “comfort” thing because I grew up baking with my mom and sisters. It makes me happy!  My 3 year old already bakes with me all the time. We try to balance making healthier dishes with treats like this though.  He’s not even a big cinnamon roll eater- he just wants the icing and sugar haha

I know I just posted a recipe here the other day but I had to get this recipe up in time for Mother’s Day because there is no treat I’d want more than this one!

It has been a while since I shared a recipe here! Beckett and I love to bake together and cookies are always a favourite. Oddly, he really prefers the dough over the actual cookie… but hey, more cookies for me!  This particular recipe is great because it’s packed with more nutrients (and you can easily make it gluten free!). It’s a pretty forgiving recipe… which is important when you’re cooking with a kid because your measuring will never be exact!

I started choosing a word for the year instead of setting resolutions a few years ago. I love it! I love that it is more open ended and not so much about reaching a particular goal. There’s less pressure and more room to grow which is what you really want a new year to be about, right?

Last year my word was ‘daring’ and I’ll be honest, there were multiple times during the year where I felt like I was failing at that!

Moms are always encouraged to make and freeze some meals before baby arrives but how many of us actually do it?  In my defense, I did try last time but baby was 2 weeks “late” and by then I’d eaten most of it haha This time around I haven’t frozen much but I do plan on getting help where I can!  I’ve used meal prep services before and while they can still be a lot of work,

I was breastfed as a baby and just always assumed that unless I was actually unable to, I would choose to breastfeed my own children. I understand that this isn’t a choice everyone makes and I’ll admit, sometimes I do feel frustrated when I see a mom choosing formula because she’s afraid breastfeeding will make her nipples weird (or something to that affect) because to me that’s not a strong enough reason to deprive your child of something that is SO SO good for them!

I turn 30 on July 11! The big 3-0!

Honestly, I’m excited about it.  For the most part I’m really happy with where I am in my life, at this age.  I feel comfortable going into my 30’s and that’s a good feeling.

I always make a wish list for my birthday. Not because I expect gifts but because I like lists. haha This year’s kinda made me chuckle because it’s so grown up.

Since I tend to get a lot of questions about what I eat (and where to get the recipes), I thought I’d start a new series called “What This Wellness Coach Eats” where you can see what I ate in a day. As you probably know, I follow a vegan diet and have for over 5 years. It makes me feel amazing! It’s tough in the beginning because it’s so foreign but once you get the hang of it,
