I feel like I’ve been building up to this shopping ban for a while. I attempted a 30 day “no buy” back in April but didn’t quite make it. I’ve just had this nagging feeling that I need to SHOP LESS. It has been showing up in different ways in my life lately- lots of signs!  I have multiple reasons for wanting to do it, which I’ll share below, but ultimately it’s about control.

Lisette High Waist Leggings

Even though I have mainly worked out at the home the past 4 years, I still like to have workout clothes that I feel really good in! I want stuff that fits, is comfortable and that I could wear out of the house.  With the whole athleisure trend, I love when I can wear my workout clothes not just to workout but also to grab lunch or run errands!

I decided to take part in the Winter 10×10 style challenge last month! I was feeling really sick of my “post partum” clothes so I thought that this would be a great way to get me excited about getting dressed in the morning again! And it did help. It forced me to make more of an effort which felt good. I also realized that I do own a LOT of clothes still! I was feeling like hardly anything fits me but really,

Somehow, I am already 32 weeks pregnant. Um, what?! Second trimester always seems to fly by! I think even more so this time because it was Summer so I was extra busy!

I’ve now reached that uncomfortable stage and it’s getting hard to sleep at night but still, overall, I think I have pretty great pregnancies and I’m very thankful for that!

I thought I’d do a recap of my second trimester outfits.

I was recently in Target, as usual, trying on a bunch of clothes and thought it’d be fun to share here!  I’m excited to see Fall stuff hitting stores although I’m really limiting what I buy since I’m pregnant.

Some of these items are maternity but some are not!  So this post isn’t just for my pregnant ladies.

Oh and Beckett woke up from a nap right as I was starting to try things on so he was pretty unhappy at first…

We made the FB announcement on Easter 😉

Shirt found here

This post is a little late seeing as I announced this on social media weeks ago but…  We’re expecting baby #2 in November!!

We’re so excited! Cannot wait to have another little bebe in my arms and for our son, Beckett, to have a sibling. He’s VERY curious about babies right now and is so sweet with them.

It has been a while since my last outfit catch up post! Winter is just an off season for taking pictures of your outfit, I think.  It’s cold outside, there’s less good lighting and you can only see me in leggings and a cardigan so many times before you get bored. 😉

Today the sun was out and it was 55F so perhaps knowing Spring is coming has me feeling inspired to do one of these posts!

It’s been a while! Hello, FALL! Loving being able to throw on some layers. Fall outfits are kind of the best, right??
I’ve been noticing how basic my style has gotten lately.  On one hand, it makes getting dressed really easy but on the other hand sometimes I miss experimenting with my style!  I guess I need to find a happy medium.  I think style should feel comfortable but it should also be fun and you know what,

I took these pictures towards the very end of Summer. You know, where you’re craving Fall and wanting to wear Fall outfits but the weather is still pretty dang hot!  For some of you, you’re still experiencing that!  I did the last 8 years while living in Southern California but now that I’m back in WA State I get to have a “real Fall”… and I love it!

So this is a transitional outfit for sure.

Now more than ever I feel so clear on what my style is.  I used to feel pulled in so many directions and I’d end up with purchases that would only get worn once or twice.  It wasn’t that I didn’t love the items themselves, they just didn’t really work with either the rest of my wardrobe or my lifestyle!

If you’re struggling with that, seriously look into creating a capsule/minimal wardrobe. You don’t have to go crazy but just start defining your wardrobe!
